About the Position

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician I, you will perform maintenance on assigned properties to help keep them safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. This role includes responding to maintenance needs, identifying potential hazards, and supporting the overall upkeep of buildings and grounds.

Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to take ownership of your work will make a direct impact on the properties and communities you serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of assigned properties.
• Clean and maintain grounds and parking lots.
• Verify that lighting systems are operating properly.
• Maintain clean entrances to tenant suites and spaces.
• Conduct routine checks of fire extinguishers, exit lights, and emergency lighting.
• Perform snow and ice removal as needed.
• Identify potential safety hazards and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain landscaping and hardscape areas.
• Assist other Maintenance Technicians when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness of shops and work areas.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with tenants, contractors, and management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• U.S. work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree from a two-year or four-year college or university.
• Experience with Yardi or equivalent property management software.
