Benchmarking

As in 2024, all buildings 50,000 square feet and larger in Marion County must participate. Additionally, the City is working to benchmark as many city-owned buildings as possible.

To support building owners and managers, the Office of Sustainability will host its fourth annual Data Jam series this spring. These sessions provide hands-on, step-by-step guidance on energy benchmarking to ensure compliance with Thriving Buildings requirements.

What to Expect at Data Jams:
  • Learn how to set up your ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account

  • Get assistance entering and managing utility data

  • Learn how to share your data with the City

  • Understand the background and goals of Thriving Buildings

  • Network with other participants to share insights and strategies
