BOMA Gives Back

Our Philanthropic Committee is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for our members to engage with and give back to the community. From packing meals at Gleaners and Million Meal Movement to volunteering at Outreach Indiana and St. Mary's Early Childhood Center, our members are at the heart of making Indy a better place for all. Join us in our mission—whether by attending a virtual event, volunteering during a day of service, or contributing a monetary donation. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.

St. Mary’s is committed to ensuring that every child has access to the highest quality early childhood education, with a special focus on children living in poverty. The benefits of participating in a high-quality program are well-documented and life-changing. Each year, our BOMA members unite to revitalize St. Mary’s facility and playground, making sure it's ready and welcoming for the children returning from summer break. "The building looked wonderful and when the children and families arrived yesterday afternoon, they were very excited about how the spaces looked…especially the new sandboxes! Thanks again!"

United with others, Gleaners works to ensure equitable access to nutritious food for Hoosiers facing hunger, while actively addressing the root causes of food insecurity affecting nearly 1 million people across Indiana. Our BOMA members eagerly participate in the unique volunteer opportunities Gleaners provides, whether it’s preparing meals, sorting food, or packing vehicles with essentials. They are always ready to take action in the fight against food deserts throughout the state. Learn more about volunteering opportunities and their mission here.

Million Meal empowers volunteers to create meaningful impact through dynamic, hands-on meal-packing events. Every year, thousands of dedicated volunteers come together to pack and donate millions of meals to Indiana food pantries. Since partnering with Million Meal, our BOMA members alone have packed an estimated 300,000 meals, helping to fight hunger across the state of Indiana. If you're interested in volunteering or want to learn more about Million Meal's mission, you can find more information here.

Outreach is Central Indiana's leading organization dedicated to addressing the unique needs of youth experiencing homelessness in our communities. Each year, our BOMA Philanthropic Committee comes together to host a cookout, serving lunch to both the youth and the dedicated staff at Outreach Indiana.
