Returning to the NCAA Hall of Champions, we welcome Sarah Myer, Chief of Staff & Strategy at Indiana Sports Corp, and Jeffrey Hintz, Executive Director of Sports Tech HQ and Vice President of Innovation at Indiana Sports Corp, for a behind-the-scenes look at the strategy driving Indianapolis’ success as a premier sports city.

With extensive experience leading major national sporting events and shaping the marketing and operational vision of Indy’s sports ecosystem, Sarah will share insights into the city’s long-term direction through the 2050 Vision. Jeffrey will expand that conversation by exploring how innovation and sports technology are positioning Indiana as a leader in the rapidly growing sports tech sector—highlighting how startups, major events, and forward-thinking partnerships are shaping the future of sports in Indianapolis.

Sarah Myer joined Indiana Sports Corp in April, 2019 and now serves as Chief of Staff & Strategy. In her role, Myer provides strategic guidance and operational leadership to support the organization in fulfilling its mission of impacting the community through sports. Myer also currently serves as the Event Co-Director of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming event in 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium. In addition, Myer was a producer of “Made for this Moment: An Indiana Sports Corp Story,” a documentary of the history of the sports strategy in Indianapolis and how it set up the community to host the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.

Previously, Myer served as Chief of Marketing where she led a department responsible for the marketing, communications, and brand management for Indiana Sports Corp, its partner events (i.e. NCAA, Olympic, and Big Ten championships), and its fundraisers. In addition, Myer works to connect the ISC brand with the Indianapolis community through partnerships and ancillary events.

Prior to her time at Indiana Sports Corp, Myer served as Vice President of Marketing for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. In this role, Myer managed the Marketing & Communications team while overseeing all marketing campaigns promoting 200+ concerts. Ticket sales increased 66% during Myer’s tenure.

A Cleveland, Ohio native, Myer graduated from Butler University in 2006 with a BA in Journalism, Public Relations and a minor in Media Arts.

Myer currently serves on the boards of Leadership Indianapolis and Downtown Indy Marketing, in addition to teaching classes at numerous local YMCAs. She was awarded the 2020 United Way Community Ambassador Elevate Award and was part of the 2021 IBJ Forty Under 40 Class. She currently resides in the near eastside neighborhood of Indy and loves to explore local concerts, festivals, sporting events, restaurants, and breweries – and is always in search of the perfect soft pretzel.

Jeffrey Hintz is the Executive Director of Sports Tech HQ, the nonprofit organization leading Indiana’s efforts to grow and strengthen its presence in the sports technology sector. In this role, Jeff works to attract, support, and connect sports tech startups, established companies, and innovators to Indiana’s robust sports ecosystem.

A native of Indianapolis, Jeff brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the sports and entertainment industry. His career includes directing some of the nation’s most prominent sporting events, including the Senior PGA Championships, the Ryder Cup, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and the NBA 2K League season hosted in Indianapolis. He has also served as Executive Director of the Minnesota PGA.

In addition to his role at Sports Tech HQ, Jeff serves as Vice President of Innovation for Indiana Sports Corp, where he focuses on innovation tied to major events and special projects for one of the most storied sports commissions in the country.

Jeff is a graduate of Indiana University, where he studied sports marketing and business management, and holds an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. He is passionate about positioning Indiana as a premier destination for sports innovation and believes the state’s unique blend of talent, infrastructure, and community makes it an ideal place to live, work, and create.
