Born in Dublin to a working-class family, Daly discovered his passion for racing at just 12 years old. His early talent propelled him to victories in Irish, British, and European championships, ultimately earning him a place in Formula One in 1978. By 1980, he was ranked among the world’s top 10 drivers. He went on to compete in six Indianapolis 500 races, beginning in 1983.
